KOTO Detector Status

Speaker: Tahahiko Masuda

The KOTO experiment at the J-PARC laboratory seeks to obtain the first observation of the KL0 → π0νν ̄ decay, as a direct measurement of the CP-violating parameter in the Standard Model. Many improvements are being made over the previous KEK E391a experiment. The almost full detector system has been completed and installed in the December 2012. The talk will discuss the detector performance and calibration measurements from the experience of the engineering run in the January 2013.
