Lattice QCD calculations are able to provide accurate non-perturbative determinations of (a number of) hadronic parameters with controlled systematic errors. In this talk, I review recent lattice results for quantities which are relevant for the determination of Vus and Vud. These include the ratio of pseudoscalar decay constants fK/fpi and the vector form factor f+(0) relevant for semileptonic kaon decays. At the present level of joint experimental and theoretical accuracy, both QCD and QED isospin breaking corrections must be also taken into account in the phenomenological analyses. The perspectives for a lattice QCD determination of these corrections and first numerical results are also presented.
